PG Winter Scenes

We've had a fair bit of snow followed by blue skies lately, so it's looking decidedly like winter around here! Here are a few shots I took on a walk through Moore's Meadow the other day.

Thanksgiving with the Reas

Yesterday we celebrated Thankgiving with Roy & Michelle & family. We started with a walk through Moore's Meadow and by the river. After that it was turkey dinner at our house!

Autumn in PG

Matt and I took a really nice walk last weekend, right before most of the leaves started to fall. We started at Fort George Park and completed the Gunn Park round, surrounded by a blanket of yellow.

I've always loved this time of year. Even though it means winter is on its way, I really don't mind. There's something cozy about the fall......

25th Wedding Anniversary

August 24th was our 25th wedding anniversary (how those years fly by!). The week before that Harry & Rosemary came from Holland to visit. Mom and Dad joined us and we all headed up to Connaught Hill for some family pictures in the blazing heat.

Our family celebration included a wonderful brunch at Esther's Inn.

The following day we headed out to our cabin, and Mom brought along a nice cake. It was Harry & Rosemary's 40th this summer as well, while Mom & Dad will be celebrating their 55th in October.

Last night we had a wine & cheese party at our house with our friends. Here we are towards the end of the evening with Fraser & Lisa, Michelle, and Todd & Terri.
So today is the first day of our next 25 years together!

Cabin Time 2010

I believe the pictures speak for themselves!
It was so hot last week that I even got Mom in the lake.....

Nothing beats that bowl of cabin cheesies!

A Visit From Lang & Liann

Lang and Liann came up from Vancouver for a visit earlier this month. We had a good time around PG and out at the cabin. Matt & Lang "hung out" on the trampoline one afternoon, and Jon & Liann carved some excellent tools while at the lake. We stopped by Shane Lake on our way to see UNBC as well......

Alaska 2010

We've just returned from a wonderful 14-day cruise to Alaska on Holland-America's Amsterdam. What a great experience this was! All three of us loved the scenery in Alaska and felt grateful for the service on this ship. Here are a few pictures and also a link to a bunch of our photos from the trip.

April BD BBQ

Yesterday we had our first barbeque of the year - to celebrate Michelle's, Lisa's, & Roy's birthdays. It was great to sit outside for the first time and soak up the sun. The four kids had a good day on the trampoline as well!

Viva Las Vegas!

Four of us headed off for a girls' getaway in Vegas last week. Here we are, feeling great after attending the Broadway musical, "The Jersey Boys": Lisa, Joanne, Gina, & Michelle (the 40th birthday girl).
No getaway would be complete without great shoes!

A scene from the Palazzo Hotel......

Paris at night with the Bellagio fountains in the foreground.....

Michelle was treated to some great desserts by our waiters!

Paris in the daytime....

This photo was taken in the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace.

It was great to see some sunshine after our PG winter!

We stayed at the Encore, a sister hotel to the Wynn.

A Gorgeous Spring Skiing Day at Purden

To start off our one-week Spring Break, Jon and I headed to Purden for some downhill skiing today. We both agreed it was one of our favourite skiing days ever! The conditions were perfect, and we had a great time together. I have to ski pretty hard to try and keep up with Jon...

Matt's Trip to China

These are some images, in no particular order, of Matt's recent 10-day trip to China with his friend, Lang. He had a wonderful experience over there! They started their trip in Shanghai and also spent time in Lang's hometown, Wuhu, and in Nanjing. They saw interesting sites and ate the best food ever with Lang's friends and family. Matt was very impressed with China and how warm and welcoming the people were to him.
